What is a Feed

First, a word about how this works is a great technology, that allows us to continually notify you of updates to our blog, rather than you having to keep coming back to check for updates. Each blog has what’s called an “RSS feed,” a sort of signal or index that goes out tothe whole web and lets everyone know when an update is posted.

How RSS works is a mystery to me, but I use it to stay updated on all my favorite blogs. It’s really easy, it’s free, and there’s no need to share any personal information and no risk of security whatsoever. It’s as simple as clicking one little icon.

What icon, you ask? It’s that little orange square at the top of your browser,
just to the right of the web address (URL) bar.
